Electrical work

What I do, and what a partner master electrician does.

Updated: 2026-10-13

In Quebec, electrical work must be done by a contractor licensed by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec and a member of the Corporation des maîtres électriciens du Québec (CMEQ). I am not a master electrician, and I say so clearly.

What I do

  • Wireless and battery devices: sensors, buttons, locks, leak detectors.
  • Plug-in devices: smart plugs, bulbs, lamps, hubs.
  • Low voltage: PoE cameras, networking, USB power, low-voltage sensor wiring.
  • All the configuration: Home Assistant, automations, dashboards, network, server and backups.

What a partner master electrician does

  • Smart in-wall switches and dimmers.
  • 240 V thermostats for electric baseboards.
  • New outlets, new circuits, EV chargers.
  • Anything connected directly to 120/240 V.

How it works

I plan the whole project. For the electrical part, a partner master electrician gives you their own quote and bills you directly. Once their work is done, I integrate the devices into the system. You get one plan, and every job is done by the right person.
