Privacy policy

How we protect your personal information (Quebec Law 25).

Updated: 2026-10-13

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, where it is kept and what your rights are, under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25).

Person in charge of personal information

The business owner is the person in charge of protecting personal information. For any question or request: [email protected].

What we collect

  • Contact form: name, email, phone (optional), service wanted, project description, preferred language and, if you come from the “Find my package” questionnaire, your answers and the recommendation you got. The questionnaire itself sends nothing until you submit the form.
  • Clients: the work address, the list of installed devices and, if you choose a maintenance plan, limited remote access to your system.
  • Audience measurement: Cloudflare Web Analytics, cookie-free and without identifying visitors: visit counts and pages viewed only.
  • Bot protection: Cloudflare Turnstile checks technical signals from your browser when the form is sent, only to block spam.

The site uses no cookies. Your light or dark theme choice is kept in your browser (local storage) and is never sent to us. The live demo runs entirely in your browser and sends no data.

Why

To answer your request, prepare a quote, carry out and maintain your installation, and meet our accounting obligations. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do no targeted advertising.

Where your information is processed

Some providers are located outside Quebec:

Provider Role Location
Cloudflare Site hosting, form, Turnstile, analytics United States and global network
Resend Sending the email with your request United States
Telegram Notifying the owner of your request International

Before communicating information outside Quebec, we assessed the privacy factors and concluded the protection is adequate. [TO COMPLETE: keep the assessment on file.]

Retention

  • Requests that do not lead to work: deleted after 24 months.
  • Client records: for the business relationship, then 6 years after the end of the tax year, as tax rules require.

Your rights

You can ask to access your information, have it corrected or deleted, receive it in a structured technological format (portability), withdraw your consent or request de-indexing. We answer within 30 days. You may also file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Security and incidents

Limited access, encrypted backups and strong authentication. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the people concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information, and we keep an incident register.

Remote access (maintenance plans)

Access to your system goes through an encrypted connection you can switch off any time. We access only what maintenance requires and do not view your videos unless you ask us to.
